As part of the Alternative Fuels & Clean Tech session in the Sustainability Theatre, Remmelt Thijs, Project Manager at Portwise, will be presenting about the implications of battery technology for transport system in container terminals operations.
Portwise has assisted several customers with the analysis on the optimal solution for battery technology and its impact on additional equipment. Based on these various analyses, Remmelt will present several general analysis conclusions focused on the most common transport technologies. These lessons learned include understanding additional required equipment, optimal charging solution and optimal location for charging within the terminal.
