What are we looking for?

As a Lead Consultant at Portwise, you will be working on (strategic) consultancy projects to support our clients in their strategic plans and decisions regarding their terminal. At Portwise, we clearly distinguish ourselves from other consulting and engineering firms, by applying state-of-the-art tools such as simulation and emulation.

Over the course of the next few years, we expect you to grow into an experienced lead consultant who actively contributes to the further development of our services portfolio.

What will you bring

  • Academic degree in a relevant education i.e. with strong analytical skills
  • Experience in managing key client relationships
  • Experience in business consulting
  • Analytical thinking and solutions focused to provide advice and guidance to clients
  • Minimal 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent writing skills in English language
  • Willingness to travel

Job Description Lead Consultant - Client Facing

Together with a team of technical professionals, you will work on finding solutions for our clients. We get questions like “which investment plan provides most business value?”, “what is the best terminal design / expansion plan for our terminal?”, “how can we make most efficient use of our resources?”, “should we move from a manual operation to a more automated operation?”.
Our clients expect you to provide strategic advice on the solution, considering short term improvements as well as long term strategic plans. In addition, you have the analytical and managerial skills to lead and coach a team of highly skilled professionals, your colleagues.
Our clients include all major container terminal operators worldwide and many local port operators. There is a strong international flavor to the job and travelling is involved from time to time.
